Nostalgia ~ Aunt Bela’s Farm
Dear people, welcome to the second drop of our spring/summer collection, Nostalgia ~ my Aunt Bela’s Farm.
This collection was dreamt and designed during the first days of spring, and was supposed to be launched in the end of April - but life and health problems happened, so this year is a slower year with maybe one more launch before summer ends, promise I will explain what’s happening super soon!
So if we’re talking childhood memories and nostalgia, had to make a collection about my aunt’s farm, where I grew up. It’s a place of so many good memories, that only 4 prints weren’t enough for me to to show you all the stuff that inspires me in this little paradise that is my uncle Rui and aunt Isabela’s farm.
Let’s start with the figs, my mom’s favourite, used to sit on the fig tree and collect the figs for everyone when I was a little girl, and the smell is still one of my favourites of all times.
Then we have my grandpa’s grapefruit, his favourite and also one of my favourites too, he used to eat it with sugar and a special spoon, all I remember was the bittersweet smell in the begging of spring!
We couldn’t miss my favourite fruit in the world, the watermelon, raised by my grandma, when I was sad she used to make me a watermelon party dish, with watermelon slices and smarties.
Finally, the tomato, yes, the tomato is considered to be a fruit and I’ve always eaten it like an apple (I know, crazy), my uncle plants them every year and we eat tomato soap and ‘‘tomatada’’ every July/ August, I cannot tell you in words how much I love this, and the background of course, inspired in the oldest table cloth my grandma has in her house.
I hope this drop just makes you feel happy, hope you wear these pieces and feel inspired by my favourite childhood fruits, hope you wear these pieces with joy in those warm summer days and nights, it was made to make you feel alive!

Nostalgia ~ by the water
Dear people, welcome to the first drop of our spring/summer collection, Nostalgia ~ growing up by the water.
Water ~ my element, my favourite thing in the world, I had to make a collection about it!!
It all started in a primary school gathering dinner last December, where I met my old primary school friends, we talked and talked, and two of them asked me: ‘‘well, when you need inspiration for Paparina, where do you go, what do you do?’’ And my answer was: I swim, I go to the sea. Raised in a city by the water, how could I have a different feeling? I’ve always lived about 10 to 15 minutes close to the sea, and I’ve swam since I was 3 years old. On the top of that, my zodiac sign is also pisces. Of corse water had to be my element and my main inspiration.
So how do I make a cool collection about water? We needed a representation of my zodiac sign, and with a trip to Japan happening this year, it had to be Koi fishes, right? Then I chose my husband’s and a lot of my dear friends zodiac sign, Chloé, Rita, this one is about you!! And I just had to make a cancer look fun, so here’s a crab with the best lilac and green summer stripes.
Started to swim again last November, so a pool inspired print should be cool, and I made the pool tiles print. After all of that to just unify the all thing and because the main theme is nostalgia, we brought back our boogie in a new fresher and softer fabric.
I hope this drop just makes you feel happy, hope you wear these pieces and feel inspired by my favourite element, hope you seek the sun and the beach, hope you walk, dance and live in my new collection, ‘cause it was made for sun seekers.

Paparina for KIDS

What can I say about this small capsule? I have a lot on my mind to share with you but don’t know where to start.
As you all may have already read, I grew up with my grandma, and she made me believe I could be any hero, any villain, any princess or prince, any character I ever chose. She used to make me bed sheet castles and tell me the most amazing stories that came directly from inside her head.
Through the years I have had a lot of requests for kids clothing, but never really wanted to give it a try, maybe because, contrary from what people usually thing, children’s clothing is much more difficult to sew than adults. But after the huge success that our monkeys, unicorns, whales and rabbits made with our own leftovers from our own production, and after so many requests from my own customers we decided to make this small capsule.
As a 31 year old without any children - this journey has been hard on me and don’t feel really well to talk about this yet - I only knew what I, as a child, really wanted, and being the eldest in my family, what my brother and cousins really had needed while growing up: super comfy, super easy clothing - something your kid can wear to run, climb trees, jump and dance and don’t ever feel uncomfortable doing it.
After all, this has always been the goal of Paparina - to be free, to feel comfy, to dance, to go out of the house, to stay at your home, to run on a beach, to jump, to swim, to do all this thinks as freely and comfy as you can.
So here is the smallest capsule with my friend’s daughter’s favourite pieces and all my childhood favourite pieces. They were tested and I can guarantee they don’t scratch!
Hope you like our Sofia, the most out of the box child I’ve ever met, I love her, she was all I ever needed to be the face of my own Kids collection.

What can I say about my Cremilde? We were online friends until one day she just put herself on a train and came to meet me in person, and we’ve been inseparable since the first day we met in person.
I’ve always had this curiosity for jewellery and jewellery makers, I find them so fascinating, and there was one day that Cremilde just shot this idea ‘‘why don’t we make a collab capsule’’, of course I got immediately overly excited, this was one of my dreams, to have matching jewellery with my colourful pieces and super extra prints.
We started to work on this capsule right away, Cremilde started to look for amazing inspirations and we found out that we both had a soft spot for stars. So the Flaming Star was born, and of course, genius and magical as she is, she made my dream Jewells come true.
Beautiful as this story may seam, it was already November 2024 and we had the idea of launching in time for Christmas, and suppliers delays happen, so we had to postpone this collection to launch with my Prince of Hearts. And I think the universe was just right, because this was a match made in heaven and it became the most beautiful collab I have ever made in the 6 years of Paparina.

I met Rui - Boogie Bag’s owner during September’s last Cidade do Zero, and it feels like we’ve been friends since forever.
We couldn’t believe we actually had the same taste in colors, prints and even 70’s songs, we became friends right away.
So this collab had to come for our favourite season, the party season. After a few meetings we decided to make his best seller bags in my shiny fabrics and feathers, and we are just so proud of the result. Each bag is made from 2 to 3 units, so this is a very special and limited edition collab.
In the end Rui became the older brother I never had.
Hope you really love this collab, cause it’s made of friendship and love.
